Laser Quest at Action Stations

Last week we got to shoot a promo for the new Laser Quest centre at Action Stations. Produced by Stickcat Media, this was a really fun project where we got to try it out exclusively. Check out the video and get on down to Portsmouth Dockyard to battle it out in the new laser quest!

We also got a team together and took part in the tournament on the opening day. We came 3rd overall – a great day all round! Well done to the winning team!

Spirit of the 40′s weekend 2012 video

This video was produced by Stickcat Media for Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower at their Spirit of the 40′s weekend. I was lucky enough to be involved as 2nd camera, and to take photographs throughout the day, as well as edit the final battle video below.

Here is the video of the final battle of the weekend between all 5 re-enactment groups. It was shot on a combination of Sony Z1 and Canon 60D.

About this film

On the 24th March 2012, James Saward-Anderson, along with his friend Harry Iley took on the Trafalgar Halls Challenge. The aim: to complete 200 laps, up and down the stairs of a 46 metre building and do 20 press ups at the bottom each time, within 24 hours.

This is the third in a series of daunting endurance trials, created by James, with the aim to raise £10k for WaterAid.

Timelapse of Portsmouth

Earlier this week myself and James from Stickcat Media were privileged enough to gain access to the top of Portsmouth Cathedral to shoot a timelapse of Portsmouth. This was shot on a Canon 60D using a timelapse remote. Here is the result:

Videos for the Forward Foundation

The Forward Foundation was set up in 2011 by the Forward Internet Group to help support charities in UK and Sub-Saharan Africa. These charities include War Child, Livelyhoods, Youth Business International, Music and Change and Fitzrovia YIA. In January 2012 the Foundation spent 3 weeks in Kenya and Uganda visiting the partners they fund, as well as some potential partners.

For the past month I’ve been working with the Foundation, editing the footage from their recent trip to produce a series of short videos for their YouTube channel. On the 5th of April two of the films were screened as part of the monthly company update, which was great to get some instant feedback.

Here is one of the short films we edited from their visit to the Livelyhood’s iSmart crew in Kenya.

It was a great experience and I very much look forward (no pun intended) to working with the Foundation in the future. I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Forward for making me feel so welcome!

Party Me App launched!

Our very own Dave and Chris have launched their first iPhone App; PartyMe! The app allows you to plan your own parties using the built in to-do and guest lists, as well as get new ideas if you’re feeling lost for inspiration.

Remember the days when websites had lot’s of little characters all wiggling around on the screen, all demanding your attention? Horrible wasn’t it.

I’ve compiled a little collection of some of some of the worst/best/downright disturbing gifs (delete as applicable), all in the name of nostalgia. Get ready to get your retro on…

It wouldn’t be a website without a welcome sign. Not entirely sure what this one is about, but if a teddy bear climbing up a man in a suit doesn’t say welcome, I don’t know what does.

This one is good for letting people know that you work with computers.

Always be cautious of unfinished websites.
