About this production

In January 2010, six film makers were chosen by Zoom and BSLBT (The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust) to receive a budget to write and direct a short film. One of them was Matty Gurney who wrote and directed Me and My Wacky Doctor. The production was overseen by Neath Films in London.

I got involved as a producer to put together a budget, source crew and put together the shoot. It was such good experience, working with some very talented film makers. We filmed at Curious Science in London who were very accommodating and is an amazing location which fitted the script perfectly.

We shot it over one weekend in February, and the film was finished within a couple of months by an excellent post production team at Neath Films. Not only that, we had the expertise of Tom Linden who composed a fantastic soundtrack for the film, to who we are eternally grateful!
