About this production
This has to be one of the most enjoyable little films I’ve made. Every year at the University of Chichester, AimHigher puts on a 3 day film-making workshop for 13-15 year olds from around West Sussex. Workshops include martial arts film, acting workshops, and the old favourite… zombies.
In 2006 I took part as a work-shop assistant, and was assigned a group of young people to go and make film with. The subject was a MySpace style documentary, which was really good fun. In 2007 I was assigned the task of documenting the 3 days on camera, interviewing those involved and just showing others what a great time we all had. It wasn’t difficult to find footage as so much was going on… the real task was only having a day to edit it on the Friday so it was ready for the DVD.
The final piece I’m really pleased with – it was just 3 days of fun-packed film making – what more could you want?
